Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy. This page explains the cookies and similar technologies Recovery Science Digest uses and the choices you have.

Necessary and security cookies (always on)

Some cookies and browser storage are required for the site to work and stay secure. They are always on and cannot be turned off in Privacy choices, because the site cannot run safely without them. They are not used for advertising, ad targeting or personalization.

Necessary items include:

  • Sign-in and session: keeps staff and invited users signed in.
  • Saved privacy choices: remembers what you chose in Privacy choices so we do not ask on every page.
  • Internal security features: protects forms and accounts from misuse.

### Security: anti-bot and anti-fraud checks

To protect the site and its readers, we check browsing and request behavior, such as scrolling, clicks, timing and how often requests arrive, to detect bots, automated abuse, spam sign-ups and fraud. These checks include:

  • Limits on how often one network address can sign up, confirm a subscription, or request certain content. Addresses used for these limits are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form and the counts are deleted within about a day.
  • Hidden form fields that only automated tools fill in.
  • Recognizing known search engine and ad review crawlers so they are not counted as readers.

This information is used only for security and fraud prevention. It is not sold, shared for advertising, or used to build an ad profile.

Optional cookies

Analytics, marketing and personalization cookies are optional. You can change them at any time with the Privacy choices / Do not sell or share my info link at the bottom of every page.

  • EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland: optional cookies stay off until you choose Accept.
  • Other regions: optional cookies start on, and you can opt out in one click, including of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
  • Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends this signal (or Do Not Track), we treat it as an opt out of all optional cookies, in every region.

Contact

Questions about privacy can be sent through our contact page.

ChatGPT Ads measurement (OpenAI)

When marketing tracking is allowed by your regional rules and saved choices, we load the OpenAI ChatGPT Ads Measurement Pixel. A visit to "Retatrutide Users Say They’re Getting Their Lives Back" sends a page-view measurement to OpenAI to measure whether a ChatGPT ad led to that article visit. This is a visit measurement, not a purchase or a health outcome.

OpenAI receives website page and referrer information, ad click references when present, browser/device and network information, and event timing for advertising attribution and measurement. We do not supply names, email addresses, phone numbers or customer matching identifiers in our pixel setup. The pixel may use first-party __oppref and __oai_px cookies for up to 30 days.

Marketing stays off until acceptance in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland. Elsewhere regional defaults apply, but your saved refusal and Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track take precedence. Change or withdraw marketing permission at any time through Privacy choices / Do not sell or share my info at the bottom of every page. Withdrawal stops future measurement and tells the OpenAI pixel to remove its measurement cookies. Events blocked before acceptance are not replayed.

Reddit Ads measurement

When marketing tracking is allowed by your regional rules and saved choices, we load the Reddit Ads pixel. It sends a page-visit measurement to Reddit so we can measure whether a Reddit ad led to a visit on this site.

Reddit receives website page and referrer information, ad click references when present, browser/device and network information, and event timing for advertising attribution and measurement. We do not supply names, email addresses, phone numbers or customer matching identifiers in our pixel setup.

Withdrawal stops future measurement. Events blocked before acceptance are not replayed.

Facebook and Instagram ads measurement (Meta)

When marketing tracking is permitted by your regional rules and saved choices, the Meta Pixel reports page views to Meta for advertising measurement and attribution. Meta receives page and referrer addresses, browser and network information, event timing and advertising cookie or click references. We do not enable automatic advanced matching or supply names, emails or phone numbers in this pixel setup.

Marketing stays off until acceptance in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland. Elsewhere regional defaults apply. A saved refusal and Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track take precedence. Withdraw permission through Privacy choices / Do not sell or share my info in the footer; withdrawal stops future pixel reports. Blocked events are not replayed.

Partner analytics forwarding

Each time our own first-party statistics save a page view, our servers forward a copy of that page-view event to a partner analytics endpoint operated for akidzich.com. Each event carries the page address and title, referrer, event timing, and the same random, identity-free visitor reference used by our own statistics. We do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers or other contact details with these events.

This forwarding is part of our first-party site measurement, not an advertising pixel: nothing is loaded in your browser and it is not controlled by the optional marketing choice in Privacy choices.
